Project overview

Objective

I had the opportunity to create a range of dynamic media assets for the launch of Violet, Prescientx’s cutting-edge autonomous UV robot. The goal was to educate and inspire an audience about Violet’s capabilities in delivering advanced UVC disinfection for high-demand environments. Through promotional and informational media, this project aimed to introduce Violet as a breakthrough solution for safe, continuous disinfection, giving users confidence in cleaner, healthier spaces.

This media included a central launch video, developed to showcase Violet’s unique features, such as its autonomous 360-degree navigation, powerful UVC light output, and adaptability in lightly occupied spaces. The project also included supporting video content, social media assets, and informational graphics to emphasize the benefits of this high-efficiency disinfection technology.

The transformation

Challenge

Launch a first-of-its-kind autonomous UVC disinfection robot (Violet) to a professional audience with no mental model for it. Then, four years on, relaunch the brand around “Engineered Infection Prevention” and Canada’s new 2024 CSA healthcare standards.

Approach

Speaking to infection-prevention decision-makers and facility operators, I built a CGI-plus-live-action launch film in Cinema 4D that made Violet’s autonomous navigation and UVC output legible, then extended it in 2025 into a redesigned Shopify store, an executive briefing, and a coordinated LinkedIn and Google Business campaign.

Outcome

Delivered an end-to-end launch and relaunch system (flagship film, e-commerce store, executive briefing, and multi-channel social campaign) that carried Prescientx from 2021 product launch to 2025 brand expansion.

The solution.

Solution

The solution was crafted to captivate and inform, combining visual storytelling and technical clarity. Using Cinema 4D for animation and live footage, I developed a high-quality promotional video that would be played after the launch event. This video highlighted Violet’s advanced design, autonomous capabilities, and unmatched disinfection speed, ensuring viewers understood the value it brings to various sectors.

Key elements included:

  • Launch Promo Video – This flagship video, blending CGI and live footage, demonstrated Violet’s ability to deliver fast, thorough disinfection with autonomous intelligence. Viewers were introduced to Violet’s advanced features, such as smart pathfinding, sensor-based safety features, and high-efficiency UVC delivery.
  • Social Media & Press Release Assets – Supporting video snippets, still images, and infographics were designed to engage a wider audience across social media, reinforcing Violet’s role in elevating workplace hygiene and safety.
  • Launch Event Content – The online launch event included a pre-roll teaser, live Zoom presentation, and the main Violet promo video, ending with takeaway informational graphics for attendees. This event allowed attendees to explore Violet’s applications and impact, fostering excitement and awareness.

Through this multi-format approach, the project effectively introduced Violet as a revolutionary, intelligent disinfection solution poised to redefine health and safety standards.

Pressure was created to focus on engineered infection prevention, to bring new materials and new technologies, new standards to health care and to public health. In two thousand nine, when the World Health Organization ranked countries as to how good or how bad they were at hospital acquired infections, Canada was the worst of all developed countries. One in ten patients who goes into a Canadian hospital as a patient develops an infection that they acquire at that hospital, and one in twenty of those die. So being in the healthcare field for thirty plus years, I wanted to do something about that. Barry and I formed, Chair Canada in twenty fourteen to address engineered infection prevention strategies and technologies such as copper surfaces, ultraviolet light, ozonated water, countless others. And the ability for those strategies and technologies to be used not only in healthcare, but in industrial, commercial, office, home environment to break the chain of infection. Where the engineered devices come in is that they are in the room twenty four hours a day, seven days a week, and they work continuously. So it's had a huge impact, and and the amount of bacteria growth that these things deter is is quite phenomenal. Once the units had been in service for a few weeks, and we never broke a hundred for a total bacteria count. I'm I'm always looking for to Barry and his team to kind of offer me, tell me what's the latest, greatest because he is so far ahead of the curve on this. So he's very much about, improving or maximizing the the efficacy of hospitals by making sure that your room is a safe haven for you to recover, and you don't have to worry about trying to get out of here before you contract a hospital acquired infection. You know, I I hold Barry up there in my mind, you know, with people like Tommy Douglas who created health care. And now we have to change health care into something that, that works much better for people and saves people's lives. I think we're on the precipice right now of recognizing the difference that technology and automation can make. In fact, if we recognize that not just measles and smallpox or and COVID are airborne, but flus and colds are airborne and lots of diseases are airborne, and we could eliminate those with the same engineered measures that we use for COVID, we can all live much better lives even once COVID is gone.

Prescientx social graphic: Why are the new CSA standards so important?

Prescientx Why are the new CSA standards so important? Because what makes a healthcare building safe isn’t always visible. CSA Z317.12 and related standards govern the unseen systems: HVAC, engineering controls, and infection risk zones, that protect patients and staff every day. Now directly tied to Ministry of Health funding, these standards carry enforceable regulatory weight. They shape how we manage airflow, prevent infection, and safeguard Canadians from hospital-acquired illness.
